Gmail,Youtube,Google Meet,Google Docs and some other google’s services down for nearly an hour
Google has said that the services were disrupted because of “internal storage quota issue”.
After 47 minutes, all Google services came back online.
Below are the services which faced outage-
The only Google service that still seems to be up and running is Google Search.
The root cause of the error, according to the spokesperson, was the company’s internal tools failing to allocate enough storage space to the services that handle authentication. When that storage filled up, the system should have automatically made more available; instead, it seems it didn’t, which meant the system crashed, just like a desktop computer does when it tries to operate with a full hard drive.

Ola to invest 2400 cr to setup first electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu
This will be the ‘world’s largest’ electric scooter (e-scooter) manufacturing plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu (TN).
"This is a significant milestone for Ola and a proud moment for our country as we rapidly progress towards realizing our vision of moving the world to sustainable mobility solutions across shared and owned mobility. This will be one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in the world," Bhavish Aggarwal, chairman and group chief executive officer, Ola, said in a statement.
The plant will create around 10,000 jobs, the company said.It will initially have an annual capacity of 2 million units.
The company aims to roll out its scooters in India, Australia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, among other places, by the first quarter of 2021.
Startups like Bounce and Vogo and others are also looking at converting at least half their existing fleets into EVs by the end of next year.
Ola Electric – the EV arm of Ola – has raised about $400 million in funding from Tiger Global, Matrix India, Tata Sons chairman-emeritus Ratan Tata and others.

Zenoti surpasses $1B Unicorn Valuation with $160 million series D funding
The round was led by Advent International (“Advent”), one of the largest and most experienced global private equity investors, through Advent Tech and Sunley House Capital, an affiliate of Advent. Tiger Global and Steadview Partners also participated in the round.
To date, Zenoti has raised a total of approximately $250 million.
Powering more than 12,000 businesses in over 50 countries, Zenoti is the leading software of choice for salon and spa chains.
Bellevue- and Hyderabad-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) ,founded in 2010 by Sudheer Koneru.
The US market makes up for 60% of Zenoti’s revenue, followed by the UK, which contributes 20%. India and West Asia make up almost 5%.
Zenoti becomes the fifth SaaS-based Indian startup to become a unicorn,the previous ones being Zoho, Freshworks, Druva and Icertis.

Dunzo’s Food Court
The Bengaluru-based hyperlocal platform announced the launch of ‘Food Court’ in its app, where consumers can now order from multiple restaurants in one order.
Currently launched in Koramangala, Bengaluru, Food Court now has over 30 restaurants.
The Google backed startup has partnered with cloud kitchen firm Kitchens@ to enable the new experience.

Reliance to build world’s largest zoo in Gujarat’s Jamnagar
The zoo will house close to 100 different species of animals,birds and reptiles from India and across the world.
The zoo will be built on about 280 acres of land close to the company’s refinery project at Moti Khavdi near Jamnagar, the world’s largest oil refining complex.
“It will be called ‘Greens Zoological, Rescue & Rehabilitation Kingdom’. All the required approvals from concerned central and state government authorities have already been obtained”, said Parimal Nathwani, RIL director.

Staffing firm Xpheno reports 10% of IIT-JEE rank holders in Google
Google is followed by Microsoft and Facebook where 4% and 3% of the rank holders work, respectively.
77% of all rank holders work in corporate jobs,14% in academics and just 9% are entrepreneurs.
Almost 56% of the rank holders did not pursue higher studies, 18% opted for an MS degree. Nine out of the 10 rank holder who pursued higher education left the shores of the country.
The list includes toppers dating back to 1979 and about two other rank holders every year, making the sample size about 125. Xpheno said it was difficult to trace the current status of some of the rank holders.
Prasadh MS, technology specialist at Xpheno, said that 7 of the 12 toppers in Google are PhDs. In Microsoft, 3 out of 5 toppers are PhDs.
